Find a Job, Not Burnout

Find a Job, Not Burnout

By Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter

A woman worked for me many years ago. She had a two-hour commute to and from work each day, worked very hard while in the office, ate a slice of pizza when she got home–rinse and repeat every day with modest results. She came to me in tears about her frustration. My response: “You’re working too hard.” Give yourself some play time. Have some fun.” Her sales took off.

Many of you may be working too hard, stressing over every detail. Try to give yourself some downtime. It doesn’t have to be meditating on a mountain overlooking a beautiful vista.

For many of you, the weather will be changing soon, turning cold and miserable. Figure out how to enjoy a little bit of your day now. You can take your phone with you and monitor messages. Just do something to lighten your day.
