Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu joined Vice President Kashim Shettima at a key side event during the 80th UN General Assembly in New York, organized by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment alongside the Africa Finance Corporation.
The forum, themed “Risk, Reform, Return,” explored ways to boost sustainable investment in Africa by tackling structural barriers and fostering growth opportunities.
In an X post, Sanwo-Olu called the discussions timely, emphasizing that Africa must address risks while implementing bold reforms to attract capital and spur development.
The event reflects Nigeria and its regional partners’ commitment to positioning Africa as a prime destination for global investment in sectors like infrastructure, energy, and industry.
